Our values

We are a family-run business founded in 1992 with the following ambitions:

  • Serve a boneless fish.
  • Offer fish sold by weight, sized to meet the consumer’s nutritional needs.
  • Offer consumers fish that doesn’t smell in the fridge (thanks to modified atmosphere packaging).

Over 30 years of development

Since its inception, Frais Embal has grown and expanded whilst remaining true to its family roots, continuously investing in state-of-the-art production equipment to keep pace with market developments.

Founding of the company and opening of the first factory in the Dunkirk area

Relocation to Boulogne-sur-Mer

Takeover of Fil' Mer in Givrand (Vendée)

Established in Boulogne-sur-Mer since 1996, at the heart of Europe’s leading seafood processing hub and in close proximity to the main consumer markets, we occupy a strategic position in the international fishing and seafood market.

Our second production site, Fil’Mer, located in the Vendée, enables us to serve customers throughout France and neighbouring countries. This dual presence guarantees our customers absolute freshness thanks to reduced transport times and well-managed logistics.
